Brief overview
Social media content is short, platform-ready video that companies publish on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn or YouTube – usually in 9:16 portrait format and rarely longer than a minute. Unlike a single image film, social media content aims for regular visibility: reels, shorts, stories and ads that work instantly in the feed, often even without sound.
ROCC Film produces this content as a full-service production company from Berlin — from idea and concept through shooting to editing in every relevant aspect ratio. That way, one shoot day turns into multiple clips you can roll out over weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
The standard is the vertical format 9:16 — it works for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Stories. For the classic feed, 4:5 and 1:1 are added, and for YouTube, websites and trade fair screens, 16:9. We plan the shoot so that one motif can later be cut into several aspect ratios, instead of filming each platform separately.
Most clips run between 15 and 60 seconds. Reels and TikToks often work from as little as 15 seconds, YouTube Shorts up to 60, and LinkedIn can afford to be a bit longer. More important than length is the opening: the first second has to show what it's about, or people scroll on.
An image film tells your brand's story once, in full length; social media content plays it out in many small pieces. The image film lives on the website, in pitches and at trade fairs; social media clips are built for the feed and the algorithm – short, in portrait format, understandable even without sound. Both work together: a single shoot day for the image film can also yield additional social cuts.
Mainly for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The platform determines format, length, and tone: on TikTok and Instagram, a fast, personal opening counts; on LinkedIn, it's more about substance and credibility in a B2B context. We define which channels we're producing for before the shoot, so every clip fits where it runs.
In four steps: briefing and concept, shoot, edit, and delivery in the right formats. In the concept stage we clarify audience, message and number of clips; on the shoot day the footage is captured; in the edit, versions follow for each channel, including subtitles. You're involved in concept approval and the final cut.
Yes, in many cases. If you already have image films, commercials or event footage, you can often cut a whole series of short clips from it — in vertical format, with subtitles and a new opening. Whether your material is suitable depends mainly on resolution, framing and audio quality. Send us the files and we'll tell you honestly what can be made from them.
It depends on the effort involved: number of clips, shoot days, locations, cast, animation, and how many edit versions are needed per motif. One shoot day that produces multiple clips makes better use of your budget than many separate productions spread across the year.
