Event film for the DAB Digitalforum 2025 One perfect evening. Media impact for weeks.
Once a year, Digitalagentur Berlin brings the city's business community together at the DAB Digitalforum, with talks, live hacking and hands-on AI. In 2025 a special moment came with it: the Digitalisierungsnavigator launched live on stage. We were there with a camera and photo team for the second year running.
An annual event that should keep working afterwards.
The DAB Digitalforum is the annual date of Digitalagentur Berlin: Berlin companies, public administration and academia meet for an evening around the city's digital transformation. In 2025 the forum took place at the Forum Digitale Technologien on Salzufer, with a video message from senator for economic affairs Franziska Giffey, a live hacking show and the launch of the Digitalisierungsnavigator.
For Digitalagentur Berlin, ROCC Film produced this evening as a 60-second event film, plus five social media snippets and 100 photos. All from one date, all planned to work beyond the evening. And delivered fast, because the recap after an event cannot wait.
„The Digitalforum runs on its energy. Digitalagentur Berlin trusted us with their annual event in 2024 and 2025, and you can see exactly that trust in the material.“
Why the last scene belongs to the DAB team.
This was our second time with the Digitalforum: 2024 at Hotel Oderberger, with more than 200 people from Berlin's digitalization landscape, 2025 at the Forum Digitale Technologien, directly below the DAB office. Before the evening we went through the room with the DAB team: light, sound pickup from the stage, walking routes, press wall. We had named the challenge together early on: a place full of glass, concrete and technology, an evening full of encounters. The film had to show both.
On 8 October the camera ran from accreditation through to networking. In between: the video message from the senator, the moment managing director Nicole Voigt puts the Digitalisierungsnavigator live, the live hacking show and the tour of the AI demonstrators. Since that evening the Navigator has been showing Berlin companies suitable software and ideas for their own digitalization at navigator.digitalagentur.berlin. Gabriela Filipovic photographed in parallel, and her 100 finished images reached the team two days after the event.
In the edit, Torben Loth worked the feedback in straight from the Vimeo comments, and within a week the film was final and went into DAB's recap of the evening. The nicest change request came for the 9:16 version: as many of the team as possible should be visible at the end. We swapped the closing scene. Because that is exactly what this film tells: the Digitalforum is teamwork.
„The last shot belongs to the DAB team. Where else should this film end?“
Seen in the film.
The film opens in the still empty Forum Digitale Technologien and ends with the group photo of the DAB team. Between them lies the whole evening: accreditation, the video message from Franziska Giffey, the Navigator launch on stage, the live hacking show, guests at the AI demonstrators and the photo station at the press wall. Prof. Jacek Zawisza (HTW Berlin), managing director Nicole Voigt and entrepreneur Julia Kuhne speak on camera.
