Conference film: your event deserves more than a photo report

Your conference lasts one day. Maybe two. But the content shared there has a much longer half-life. A conference film makes this knowledge visible — for everyone who wasn't in the room. We film keynotes with multiple cameras, capture panel discussions and talk to participants between sessions. The result: a film that shows what makes your event special.

Not as a recording, but as a narrated experience. Whether you use the film for the next round of invitations, your website or as content for LinkedIn — it works for you long after the last talk is over.

What is a conference film?

A conference film is a professionally produced video that documents your specialist conference, convention or congress. It captures keynotes, panel discussions and the atmosphere between sessions. Unlike a pure lecture recording, a conference film tells a story: it shows why your event is relevant and what participants take away. As a subcategory of the event film, the focus is on knowledge transfer, networking and industry exchange.

Attendees can share the film in their network, you use it as an argument in the invitation to the next edition, and as a content source the material stays usable long after the event day.

Use cases

This is how organisers use their conference film

  1. 01Step

    Invitation and advance sales

The best proof that your conference is worthwhile is a film from the last one. Shows atmosphere, speakers and voices.

  2. 02Step

    Website and event page

As a hero video on your conference page. Shows visitors immediately what to expect.

  3. 03Step

    Social Media

Short clips of keynotes, quotes and networking moments. Reach far beyond the event day.

  4. 04Step

    Sponsors and partners

Professional proof for sponsors and supporters. Shows visually what impact their support had.

  5. 05Step

    Internal documentation

For boards, committees or absent team members. A conference film summarises an entire day in a few minutes.

  6. 06Step

    On-demand content

Individual sessions as video on demand for participants who were in another room at the same time.

Whether you need a two-minute highlight film or a complete conference documentation with session recordings: we tailor the film to your goal. Take a look at our previous work or arrange a free initial consultation right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about conference films

The price mainly depends on how long your event runs, how many cameras we bring on-site, whether interviews, livestreaming, or session recordings are included, and how many edited versions you need in the end. A highlight film from a half-day conference therefore has a completely different scope than the documentation of a multi-day congress with a multi-camera setup, speaker interviews, and social media cuts. With our cost calculator, you get an initial estimate in just a few clicks. The binding quote follows a short initial consultation, in which we go through the program, venues, and your goals.

Yes. Hybrid formats are now standard, and we adapt to them. Our team streams your keynotes and panels live to the platform of your choice — whether Zoom, Teams, YouTube or your own event platform. At the same time, the recording for the finished film runs. This way you reach participants on site and remotely, without compromising on video quality.

We support you in obtaining the consent forms. As a rule, speakers are informed in advance by contract. For participants, clearly visible notice signs in the event area pointing out the filming are sufficient. We provide you with templates for both. If individual people don't want to be filmed, we respect that on set. The topic sounds more complicated than it is.

Yes, with the right setup. For parallel sessions, we deploy additional camera teams — depending on the number of rooms, one to three cameras per track. Beforehand, we clarify together which sessions have priority. This way you ensure that no important content is lost, even when three talks are running at the same time.

We deliver the highlight film within seven to ten working days after the event. Individual session recordings are often ready faster, as they require less post-production. If you need certain clips immediately — for example for social media the day after — we agree this in advance. For complete conference documentation with interviews and elaborate editing, allow two to three weeks.

Sound is the biggest technical challenge at conferences. We work with wireless lavalier microphones for the speakers, take the audio signal in parallel from the house mixing console and, if needed, use shotgun microphones for audience questions. This produces clean recordings, even in rooms with poor acoustics or air-conditioning noise. Before the event, we do a technical check with your sound engineer.

Yes. We offer subtitles in German, English and other languages. This is particularly useful if your conference has an international audience or you want to provide the videos as on-demand content. The subtitles are created professionally and synchronized in time — no automatic generator, but reviewed text.

A single conference day delivers material for months. From the raw footage, a highlight film, social media clips, speaker quotes as text graphics, teasers for the next event and complete session recordings as gated content are created. We plan the content utilisation from the start, so that after the conference you don't sit in front of a mountain of uncurated material, but have finished formats.

A lecture recording is a static capture: one camera, one speaker, one edit. A conference film tells the story of your event. It shows the atmosphere, the conversations between sessions, the reactions in the audience and the moments you won't find on a slide. The recording documents content. The conference film conveys the experience.

Especially at smaller events, the most personal content often emerges. Fewer participants means more genuine conversations, more intensive exchange and more authentic moments in front of the camera. A half-day shoot is enough for a compact conference and delivers a highlight film plus social media clips. The result: professional video content that makes your next invitation considerably more convincing.

Your event isn't a classic conference? We also produce trade fair films, gala videos and corporate event films for company events.
