01Real Emotions

How we inspire people with recruiting films

A recruiting film is not an HR tool. It is the window into the heart of your company: your values, your culture, your people.

Through it, candidates see what it means to be part of your team. That is why we start every production by truly understanding your organization and your values. From script to shoot to post-production, this becomes a story that shows your company culture and invites viewers to become part of it.

The format follows your goal: a single job portrait like Hannah in Brand Management at Kenvue, a series covering several job profiles like the ones with Jan and Elke or a whole campaign like the Hidden Champions of the Berliner Jobcenter.

Making job profiles visible

Many jobs are better than their reputation, you just never get to see it. A job portrait shows in 60 to 90 seconds what a job profile is really about.

Standing in front of a camera is an exceptional situation. With empathy and the combined experience of acting and directing, we take that fear away from your team.

Formats for all your career channels

One production delivers several formats: the main film for your careers page, short clips for social media and pre-rolls for your campaign.

03People in front of the camera

Every company is 1000 stories

At Allianz, the best company stories walk the office corridors every day. For the Allianz recruiting film we turned them into a kaleidoscope of characters: diverse stories about diverse careers.

Saying something in front of a camera is harder than professionals make it look. Being completely yourself even more so. We have experience on every side of the camera and know how each situation feels. That is how authentic portraits happen that show what awaits new colleagues at your company.

Hannah makes Brand Management visible

Everyone knows marketing, the profession behind it is rarely seen. Hannah's job portrait shows what Brand Management at Kenvue really means, as the start of a series covering three job profiles.

  • Job portrait series: Hannah, Jan and Elke
  • Brand Management, Key Account Management and Shopper Activation
  • Every job profile gets its own film

05Our process

From open position to finished recruiting film

  1. Week 1

    Consultation and goal setting

In the free initial consultation we clarify which positions you want to fill, who you are looking for and which channels your target group uses. From that we develop the concept, the script and a clear cost plan.

  2. Weeks 2-3

    Pre-production and casting

We find the protagonists in your team and the locations in your company, from the office to the production hall. Interview guide, filming permits and logistics are on us.

  3. 1–2 shoot days

    Shoot

On set, trust is everything: with empathy and experience from acting and directing, we bring your employees in front of the camera in a charming, natural way.

  4. Weeks 4-5

    Postproduction

In the edit, real moments become a job portrait that delivers. Add music, sound design and color grading, plus short clips and pre-rolls for your career channels.

  5. Week 6

    Approval and success measurement

Your feedback flows into three revision rounds. After approval we deliver all formats and look at reach and incoming applications with you.

06Case Study · GLX

Fast. Furious. And above all, real!

Logistics rarely counts as a dream job among career starters. GLX knows this and turns it into a strength: if you know the clichés, you can score with charming self-irony. That is exactly where the story of this short, punchy recruiting film starts, with values young target groups genuinely share: security and team spirit.

  • Recruiting film for young target groups and career starters
  • Charming self-irony as a storytelling approach
  • Authentic instead of staged
  • Win attention, convince with substance

The result was really strong — an event film that perfectly captures the atmosphere and the content. ROCC Film accompanied our training on fire safety measures and fire extinguishers. A wonderfully straightforward collaboration.

10Frequently Asked Questions

What companies want to know before a recruiting film production

How much does a recruiting film cost?

A recruitment film at ROCC Film in Berlin starts at €8,000 net: one shooting day, a job portrait of 60 to 90 seconds, plus the edits for your career channels. An employer film with several people and locations runs €10,000 to €18,000. We set no upper limit: every additional shooting day costs €3,000 to €6,000, and every further job profile gets its own film.

How long does a recruiting film production take?

Plan on one to two shoot days plus pre- and post-production, several weeks in total. Smaller productions can be realized on short notice if your team and the locations are quickly available. We set the schedule together in the initial consultation.

How do you get our employees to look natural on camera?

Standing in front of a camera is an exceptional situation for almost everyone. We work with a lot of empathy and the combined experience of acting and directing, so everyone on set feels comfortable and understood. That is how the charming, natural moments happen that make a recruiting film believable.

Which formats do we get for our career channels?

We usually produce your recruiting film in several formats: the main film for your careers page and website, short clips for social media and pre-rolls for your campaigns. That way you reach candidates on every channel from a single production.

What does a complete recruiting film production include?

Concept, direction, camera, lighting and sound, the shoot itself, plus editing, music and sound design, color grading and feedback rounds. We also handle location scouting, casting and organization. You need no production experience of your own.

How do we measure whether the recruiting film works?

By the numbers that matter for your recruiting: reach, leads and above all incoming applications. After the release we look at the impact together and draw conclusions for future productions.

We want to have our first recruitment video produced. How do we get started?

With a free initial call: 20 minutes about your open positions, your target group and your channels. You will then know which format fits your roles and what it costs. From concept to final approval, we walk the path together.
