Image film for Berlin Bytes · tech agency Berlin Software convinces. People decide.

Berlin Bytes develops digital products, internal operations platforms, and AI workflows. For the image film, we put the people who do this work front and center: the two founders, the team, and the real day-to-day in the Berlin office.

Whoever commissions software is choosing people.

Berlin Bytes is a tech agency in Berlin with over 50 experts from more than 20 countries: UX design, frontend, backend, data analysis. The company builds digital products and customer platforms, internal operations platforms, and AI workflows. ROCC Film produced the image film for it, from planning through direction and camera work to final delivery.

We filmed in the agency's own office: interviews with the two founders David Henkel and Friedrich Staufenbiel, voices from the team and footage from day-to-day operations.

„The image film goes down extremely well with our clients. We're seeing a clear increase in inquiries.“

Why we filmed the whole operation, not just the founders.

Berlin Bytes sells something you can't hold in your hand: software, platforms, AI workflows. Whoever awards a project like this decides on months of shared work. Applicants are already assumed to have the skills. The question that really counts comes after: do I want to work with these people? The film had to answer that before anyone had to ask it.

So instead of filming the company, we filmed the day-to-day. We were on site from breakfast until evening, interviewed the founders and their team, and captured everyday life exactly as it happens: product ideas on post-its, KPIs on the whiteboard, development at the desk, meetings, breaks, the talk in the big stairwell. The image film doesn't use a single second of stock footage. Every shot shows Berlin Bytes.

Because film and photo ran in parallel that day, one shoot day turned into a whole package: the image film, explainer films for the individual service pages, two videos for the sales process, and a complete new photo library with headshots for over 50 employees. The A camera stayed on the interviews throughout, while the B camera and photographer captured images around the office. That's how we get the maximum production value out of one budget.

„Anyone can claim expertise. Likability has to be shown.“

Seen in the film.

Founders David Henkel and Friedrich Staufenbiel explain what Berlin Bytes does and why they see themselves as part of the client's project from day one. Add to that voices from the team and images from everyday work: product workshops, whiteboards, development, meetings, the office in Berlin.
