Recruiting Video: Public Service & Administration
The administration needs reinforcements. Your film shows why the change is worth it.
In the coming years, a large portion of the civil service will be retiring, and the job markets are dry. A recruitment video showcases the people behind the agency and turns a secure job into one that people actually want. We’ve already produced such videos for the BMAS, the Berlin Job Centers, and the Federal Association of Consumer Organizations.

Basics
What is a recruitment video for the public sector?
A short, professionally produced video that gives job applicants a glimpse into your day-to-day work. Not a promotional video for the annual report, nor an explanatory piece about job responsibilities. A video that answers one question: Why should I work here, of all places?
It is needed wherever the public sector is competing for talent: in ministries and state agencies, in local governments and citizen service centers, at job centers, municipal agencies, professional associations, trade associations, and municipal enterprises. In other words, almost everywhere.
What might a film like that look like? An administrative assistant explains why she switched from the private sector and decided to stay. A team showcases the digitization project that’s currently eliminating actual wait times. An apprentice takes you through his first month on the job. We’ve already filmed exactly these kinds of stories for the BMAS and the Berlin job centers.

Specifically
Are you currently planning a call for proposals or a specific film project?
Now, briefly, the facts. We’re familiar with public sector procedures: procurement processes, direct awards below the thresholds, approvals across multiple levels, data protection, and privacy rights when filming employees. You’ll receive a proposal with clearly defined terms that can be thoroughly justified and documented internally.
As for the production itself: In most cases, one to two days of filming at your facility—scheduled around your regular operations—are sufficient. You’ll receive a main video lasting 90 to 120 seconds for your career page and Intranet, along with short vertical clips for social media and job postings. Subtitles are standard for us, and we incorporate additional accessibility requirements into our planning from the very beginning. You’ll receive the first draft in two to three weeks, and one round of revisions is included.
Let's talk about your plans.
Whether it's a market survey, a request for proposals, or a direct order: You'll receive an honest assessment and a quote that you can use for your internal planning.
Posture
The administration is better than its reputation. Show that.
Job seekers picture a bureaucratic office: hallways, forms, stagnation. Anyone who works with you knows how wrong that image is. There are teams that are truly driving digital transformation. People who help others get back to work. Tasks that are vital to society.
That’s exactly why we film without glossy production values or staged scenes—instead, we feature real employees and show genuine respect for their work. The purpose of the public service is its strongest argument. A good film brings that purpose to life before the first conversation even takes place.
Case Study · Berlin Job Center
The Hidden Champions.
For Berlin’s job centers, we showcased the people who help others get back to work. The film is shown in the job centers’ recruitment offices and proves that even a government agency can tell stories that stick with viewers.
