Behind-the-Scenes Video for Vorwerk Twercs A product launch, told as a making-of with Eva Brenner.

With Twercs, Vorwerk launched a new brand of tools that looks different from traditional DIY tools. The brand ambassador is Eva Brenner, the star among German DIY enthusiasts. The film takes viewers behind the scenes and lets the brand, the creators, and the brand ambassador tell their own stories.

A new brand needs more than just a commercial

Twercs was a bold move for Vorwerk: tools designed to move away from the rugged, masculine “do-it-yourself” look. Soft, modern lines, all packed into a case that looks like a makeup bag. And that’s exactly how it’s described in the commercial: It’s like applying makeup to your home.

For the launch, Vorwerk enlisted Eva Brenner—a familiar face from German DIY television—as its brand ambassador. The “making-of” video shows her on set, features an interview with the brand’s CEO, and conveys exactly what the campaign needs: a connection to the target audience and genuine enthusiasm for the product.

Why a "making-of" video often sells more than the commercial itself

A commercial makes a claim; a behind-the-scenes video proves it. When Eva Brenner explains between two takes why she loves the jigsaw, that’s not just a sales pitch—it’s a genuine moment. That’s exactly what this format is designed for: it extends the campaign, gives the testimonial space to shine, and provides social media content all at once.

For Vorwerk, that meant: one day of filming, multiple benefits. The commercial sells the product, and the behind-the-scenes footage makes the brand more relatable.

"You'd really think it's a beauty case. And in the end, that's exactly what it is: you're creating 'cosmetics' for your home."

Seen in the film

Eva Brenner welcomes you to the Twercs “Making Of.” The brand’s CEO talks about the launch in July 2015 and the journey leading up to it. Eva explains what she likes about the toolbox concept: all the tools in one place, rechargeable right in the toolbox—no more endless searching. It’s all about the design (moving away from bulky DIY tools toward modern lines) and the feeling that defines DIY: turning an idea into something real.
