Recruiting Video for Ada Health One sentence, finished by 16 people together.
How do you show that a team is truly international? Not with a world map. But by having everyone say their job title in their native language and then finishing a sentence together at the end. Filmed during a studio day in Berlin-Kreuzberg, against a completely white background.
You don't just claim to have diversity. You let it be heard.
Ada Health is looking for professionals worldwide: doctors, developers, epidemiologists, and designers. A company that recruits this way must demonstrate that international diversity isn’t just a value on a list—it’s the person sitting in the office next door.
Our concept for this was both simple and elaborate: The entire team appears in front of the camera one by one, states their profession in their native language, and at the end, everyone finishes the same sentence together. There’s also a second layer: These same people show what defines them outside of work—with a ukulele, headphones, or sports equipment. Colleagues you enjoy working with. And people with their own stories.
“Together with ROCC Film, our goal was to shoot a high-quality, emotional promotional video that reflects our company values and helps us with brand building and recruiting. The entire process was extremely transparent; they guided us every step of the way from start to finish, and in the end, we really achieved a top-notch result.”
A day in the studio when the entire staff comes through
The look is deliberately minimalist: the subjects are isolated against a completely white background, clearly lit, and free of distractions. This way, every face is given equal importance, and the editing can tie all these people together in a rhythm.
This is made possible by a tightly scheduled day of filming in Berlin-Kreuzberg with an eight-person crew: director, camera operator, lighting technician, makeup artist, costume designer, production manager, and catering staff. That’s because between takes, the actual cast walks through the studio by the dozen, each with two scenes and their own props. When you’re bringing that many people in front of the camera in a single day, you need less on-the-spot creativity and more thorough preparation: a concept, a shot list, and a schedule that keeps everyone moving without delays.
The result is a film that gets by without a single promotional line. It simply shows who works there.
“We are truly global, pioneering, inclusive, and empathetic. We are driven by the desire to improve and save lives.”
Seen in the film
The film begins with greetings in several languages. Then the people at Ada introduce themselves: as scientists, developers, designers, epidemiologists, strategists, and leaders—each in their own language. Next comes the second level: the same people as jugglers, musicians, dancers, skaters, triathletes, podcasters, and trail runners. The video concludes with a shared phrase spoken by many voices at once: “We are Ada. Join us.”
