Recruiting Video for Allianz “Who'd want to work for an insurance company?” Their own people give the answer.

About 540 people work at the Logistics Service Center on the Allianz Campus in Berlin. Every day, they process over 140,000 transactions. In the video, they explain why they enjoy working here—without a script, in their own words. One of them started out as an OR nurse and now leads a team.

Recruiting starts with the people who are already here

For executives, recruiting is one of the biggest challenges of our time. Allianz has tackled this issue by focusing on the most compelling argument: its own employees. At the Logistics Service Center of Allianz One Business Solutions—the largest division at the site—we asked employees why they stay.

The answers came off the cuff. One employee openly admits that she never would have believed she’d end up working for an insurance company. Today, she’s glad she stayed. It’s precisely this journey that makes the film believable.

The most honest sentence is at the beginning

“Who wants to work for an insurance company?” This line isn’t spoken by a critic, but by an Allianz employee, right in the middle of the film. She explains that she would have preferred to become a lawyer rather than enter the industry. And that she’s glad she stayed because she’s been able to grow professionally.

That’s exactly what the film is built around. Instead of making claims about the employer, the people who show up every morning at the Logistics Service Center speak for themselves: the technician who tinkers with computers in his spare time and now gets paid for it. The early riser who schedules her own shifts. The manager whose heart swells when people clap at the last mail bin of the day.

The figures provided by the company itself (as of 2022) demonstrate just how precisely this operation runs: about 51 seconds per process, with an error rate of less than one percent. Still, a recruitment video isn’t compelling simply because it shows numbers. It’s compelling because you believe in the people behind it.

"I'm actually an OR nurse, and now I'm a manager here. So, make the most of it."

Seen in the film

Employees at the Logistics Service Center share their stories on camera: about their initial reservations regarding the insurance industry and the surprise that followed, about the mail’s journey through the building, about early shifts and the flexibility to manage their own time, about technicians who have turned their hobby into a career, and about a surgical nurse who is now a manager. At the end, there’s applause when the last box arrives.
