Brief overview

A brand film in the energy industry must connect three worlds: technology, impact and trust. We condense your mission into 90 to 180 seconds that work at the pitch, at the trade show and in public consultations. One shoot, many cuts, clear impact.

Quality features

How to recognise a strong energy brand film

Technology alone does not sell a mission. These six characteristics distinguish a film that works from one that fades away.

  • Clear mission in under 15 seconds — no buzzword bingo.
  • Real people instead of stock footage: residents, engineering, management.
  • Plant technology in motion: drone, slider, time-lapse of commissioning.
  • Concrete figures instead of vague promises: megawatts, tonnes of CO2, households.
  • Multiple cut lengths from one shoot: 90s hero, 30s LinkedIn, 15s pre-roll.
  • Subtitles and English version planned in from day one.

When it pays off

When a brand film pays off in the energy sector

Four situations in which the film earns back the investment — from public consultation to Series B round.

Public participation and acceptance

Before approval proceedings, public meetings or referendums. The film takes concerns seriously and shows local benefit.

Investor story for Series B+

When the pitch deck slide is no longer enough. A film conveys the founding team, market size and vision in 120 seconds. A corporate film completes the picture for stakeholders and the annual report.

Recruiting for engineers

When you're fighting for talent against Tesla, Siemens Energy and Enpal. The film shows culture, facilities and career paths. For deeper engineering profiles, a recruiting film for industry and production is a good fit.

B2B sales heat pump and solar

When the field sales team arrives two abreast for the appointment. The film shortens the explanation part and builds trust before the quote.

How your brand film comes together with us

Four steps from briefing to finished film

  1. 01Step

    Strategy workshop (Week 1)

We condense mission, target groups and filming locations into a one-page treatment.

  2. 02Step

    Pre-production and permits (Weeks 2–4)

We coordinate drone flight, plant access, safety briefings and interview partners.

  3. 03Step

    Shoot (1 to 3 days)

Compact team at your plant, at headquarters and at the end customer. We film all lengths in one go.

  4. 04Step

    Post-production (Weeks 5–7)

Editing, sound design, colour grading, multilingual versions and social cutdowns from the master.

What does a cleantech brand film cost?

Compact mission films start at 18,000 euros. Campaigns with multiple filming locations, drone and four language versions reach up to 80,000 euros. Precise ranges and example packages can be found here. View cost examples.

Use cases

Where your film works

One shoot produces multiple cuts. Here they pay off.

Website hero

Above the fold on the homepage and product landing pages. The film reduces bounce and increases demo requests.

LinkedIn for cleantech fundraising

Native video in the founder profile and company page. The 60-second cut speaks directly to family offices and VCs.

Trade shows: E-world, Intersolar, The smarter E

Loop at the stand and teaser in advance. You fill the stand conversation with substance instead of small talk.

Public meetings and approval appointments

Cinema version with subtitles. The film eases the atmosphere before the discussion begins.

Investor pitch and data room

Linked in the deck, embedded in the Q3 update email. Existing investors stay emotionally on board.

Recruiting on careers page and Stepstone

With engineering voices from the workforce. Applications increase measurably, especially for senior profiles.

Sub-industries

Which segment of the energy industry needs which kind of film?

The energy industry isn't a uniform market – a municipal utility tells a different story than a hydrogen scale-up. These six starting points differ significantly, and so does the film that fits each one.

Municipal utilities and energy providers

Your regional roots are your strongest argument. The film shows the grid, district heating, pools, and the people who stand behind it locally — turning a utility provider into a neighbor.

Grid operators and infrastructure

Substations, power lines, control centers: hard-to-access sites with strict safety requirements. We plan access, briefings and supervision before the first shoot day, not on it.

Developer for wind and solar

Renewable energy projects live or die by acceptance. Aerial footage plus a resident's voice works better in public dialogue than any slide with a yield forecast.

Hydrogen and Power-to-X

Electrolysis happens on the inside and needs explaining. We combine real footage of the plant with animation so even non-technical viewers understand the process in 30 seconds.

Storage, batteries, and charging infrastructure

Hardware that looks boring on the shelf and convinces in action. That's why we film where it works: in the depot, on the factory floor, at the charging station.

Cleantech software and energy data

Dashboards don't film well. We tell the value through the person on the other end — balance group manager, asset manager, end customer — instead of through screen recordings.

Credibility

How to keep environmental claims in your film verifiable

Every environmental claim in the film needs a number, a source, and a reference year — otherwise good communication turns into a legal risk.

Blanket claims like climate-neutral, green, or sustainable are coming under increasing pressure without proof: EU Directive 2024/825 against misleading environmental advertising (EmpCo) takes effect via the German UWG from September 27, 2026. For your image film, that doesn't mean saying less — it means saying it more precisely.

In practice, that means: instead of claiming you're driving the energy transition, you show exactly what you measure it by. We build this evidence into the treatment from the start, so it doesn't have to be tediously added later.

Figures with reference year

Megawatts, tons of CO2, households supplied: every number in the film gets a unit, a time frame, and a source — as a lower-third caption on screen or a footnote in the credits.

Targets backed by a real plan

What you deliver today belongs in the main section. Targets for 2030 or 2040 only if you've backed them publicly with a credible plan.

No Stock Nature Footage as Proof

The wind turbine sunset from the stock photo library undermines every claim. We film your facilities, your locations and your people — that's the proof no one can dispute.

Legal reviews the treatment too

Communications, technical, and legal teams read the concept, not just the rough cut. That saves you the late-stage revision loop, where every change is the most costly.
